Taking the Lead: New Roles for Aaron Bridges and Justin Justice

As trail construction efforts continue to expand across the Cumberland Trail, the Cumberland Trail Conservancy has increasingly found crews working simultaneously on multiple project sites. With major projects happening in different locations, the need for additional leadership in the field has grown as well. To support these evolving operations and ensure each crew has strong on-site guidance, we are pleased to announce two well-earned promotions within our Trail Crew.

Aaron Bridges has been promoted to Trail Crew Lead. Aaron joined the Conservancy in May 2025 and has quickly proven himself to be a skilled trail builder and a valued member of the team. His positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help fellow crew members make him a natural fit for a leadership role. As Trail Crew Lead, Aaron will help provide day-to-day guidance and support for crew members while continuing to build outstanding sections of the Cumberland Trail.

We are also excited to announce the promotion of Justin Justice to Trail Crew Supervisor. Justin joined the Conservancy in April 2022 and has served as a Trail Crew Lead for much of the last year. As the Trail Crew has expanded and crews have begun working at separate job sites, Justin has increasingly taken on supervisory responsibilities. He has stepped up to provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for crews working at other locations. His promotion recognizes the role he has already been fulfilling and helps strengthen our leadership structure as the program continues to grow.

These promotions reflect the dedication, experience, and leadership both Aaron and Justin bring to the Cumberland Trail Conservancy. Their commitment to quality trail construction and supporting their fellow crew members has helped strengthen our trail program, and we look forward to their continued success in these new roles.
