National Trails Day Picnic at Cumberland Mountain State Park

We had a fantastic time celebrating National Trails Day at Cumberland Mountain State Park with the Friends of the Trails during their annual picnic. The event brought together hikers, outdoor enthusiasts, and community members for a day dedicated to enjoying and supporting our local trail systems.
Throughout the day, we hosted a booth where we had the opportunity to meet and talk with many visitors. It was great to connect with people who share a passion for the outdoors, answer questions, and discuss ways to get involved in trail stewardship and recreation opportunities in our area.
The picnic offered something for everyone, including delicious food, live music, and plenty of time to enjoy the park’s beautiful surroundings. The welcoming atmosphere and strong community spirit made it a memorable event for all who attended.
We would also like to extend a special congratulations to all the finishers of the Spring Ultra Hike. Completing this challenging hike is a remarkable achievement, and we were excited to celebrate the participants’ hard work and dedication.
Thank you to the Friends of the Trails for hosting another successful National Trails Day event and to everyone who stopped by our booth. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you on the trails again soon!
