Chattanooga Outdoor Festival Event Recap

On April 11, we enjoyed a great day connecting with the outdoor community at the Chattanooga Outdoor Festival at Choo Choo Gardens. The venue provided a perfect backdrop for conversations about trails, stewardship, and adventures across Tennessee.

Throughout the festival, we had the chance to chat with attendees about the Cumberland Trail, answer questions, and share ways to get involved. It was wonderful to meet so many people who are excited about hiking, conservation, and exploring our state’s natural spaces.

One of the highlights of the day was our raffle for an Osprey pack, generously donated by our friends at REI. We’re very grateful to REI for their continued support and for helping us engage festival‑goers in a fun and meaningful way.

We were also thankful to have several members of our community representing the organization at the booth, including trail crew member Keith, advisory board member Randy, and David, our Board Chair Emeritus. Their presence and perspectives added depth to our conversations and helped showcase the many ways people can support and connect with the Cumberland Trail.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, entered the raffle, and spent time learning more about our work. Events like the Chattanooga Outdoor Festival are a great reminder of how passionate and supportive the outdoor community is, and we look forward to continuing these connections on the trail.
